HILLIARD'S FIRST AND FINEST PIZZA SHOP In 1955, Louis (Luigi) Tumeo opened Hilliard's first pizza shop at the corner of Main Street and Cemetery Road. He moved his pizza shop to the current location in 1957. The Leeka family has a long history with Luigi's Pizza. Esther Lowry started working for Luigi's in the 1960's. Her daughter, Bev Leeka, joined her in the 1970's and in the 1980's Bev's son, Mike Leeka, started at Luigi's. In 1984, when Lou Tumeo retired, the Leeka family bought Luigi's Pizza. Three years later, Luigi's Pizza was voted best pizza in Hilliard by Hilliard Northwest News readers. Bev and Mike continue to be a constant presence at Luigi's Pizza. With this long history, we know our customers. We have seen generations growing up and eating Luigi's Pizza! We have supported the Hilliard community by sponsoring sports teams, sponsoring a customer in 4-H, donating pizzas to school fun days and donating pizza circles for pre-school fund-raisers. Since Luigi's Pizza is a family run pizza shop, we need to take a break from time to time. Therefore, Luigi's is closed on:
- New Year's Day
- Hilliard Spring Break week
- Memorial Day
- July 4
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
For the rest of the year, we are always available to create your favorite Luigi's Pizza! |
